Ingredients:
1.5 oz Bourbon
0.75 oz Matchbook Distilling Farewell ≠ Goodbye: Lemon Sec
0.25 oz Simple syrup
3-4 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
6 Mint leaves
Garnish: Mint sprig
Glass: Julep cup
Method:
Add Farewell ≠ Goodbye: Lemon Sec, bourbon, simple syrup, and mint leaves to your julep cup.
Lightly press the mint leaves a few times with a muddler, gently releasing the oils.
Top with crushed ice and swizzle briefly with a bar spoon to agitate.
Add more crushed ice to fill the cup, then dash the Peychaud’s bitters on top of the ice.
Garnish with a mint sprig.
To make crushed ice, place ice cubes inside a clean towel and smash with a hammer or wooden mallet. Alternatively, pulse cubes in a blender for a few seconds.
